In October 1991, Curare published its first quarterly Bulletin, designed on a borrowed computer. In September 1993, this publication was adopted by the newspaper La Jornada, as a quarterly insert, preserving its name Curare. Together we published 4 issues, before this collaboration was interrupted for economic motives at the beginning of 1995. The bulletin was published internally and distributed by suscription. In the fall of 1996, with the help of our sponsors, the bulletin developed into the magazine CURARE- available in gallery and museum bookstores and to suscribers. The publication of number 12 was the last activity financed in part by our sponsors, and with number 13, Curare inaugurates a new era and initiates a project of special subscriptions in support of the magazine, acompanied on this occasion by a work of art donated by the dutch artist Jan Hendrix.

Guidelines for submission of texts:

Curare accepts texts in Spanish or English. They should be sent by e-mail or delivered on a diskette, along with a printed version which indicates underlining, italics or other special formatting information, as well as the location of specific illustrations, if this is important for your text. We suggest using a text file in RTF (Rich Text Format). If this is not possible, please save your article in Word, in a version prior to Word for Windows 95 or Word for Mac 5.2. Notes and bibliographic references should be located at the end of the article as text.
