Next Big Event: There will be a tree planting in June at Parque Landeta on June 5 th, World Environment Day. Details will be announced in Atencion. If you’re out of town but would like to learn about this event, you can read about it on line at www.atencionsanmiguel.org. Full Moon Ceremony: May 13 th, 8:00p.m. at the four Winds Plaza , Botanical Garden. 30 pesos donation goes to the garden Temascal: May 26 th at 8p.m. You can call 154 4715 for more details. STAFF NEWS: Julio Estrada has left his position at the Reception area of El Charco to pursue new career goals. Regina Bustamante Garcia is the new staff member at Reception. Regina is from San Miguel, fluently bilingual and has volunteered with several organizations in town. We thank Julio and welcome Regina to El Charco. What’s Flowering: Although May is our driest, hottest month, there are still several flowers to be seen at the garden, including Echinocereus, Bombax Astrophytum ornatum, and even more inside the conservatory. Volunteers: We would like to thank the volunteers who helped at the Earth Day event which started quite early. Regina can use a few more people helping her in the Visitor Reception/Store area. Once the rainy season starts we will need quite a few volunteers helping to maintain the garden. Please contact Naomi at nzerriffi@yahoo.com or 152 1829 for these or other volunteer opportunities.
