Her poetry is like her: anarchic, direct, tender, passionate and above all, honest. Maybe they are not perfect, but her verse shakes you and moves you. They reveal what she is all about.
Which is why we can't but be greatful that she has united her voice with that scarce group of women who try - through our creation - to gain a space and respect for us, Safo's heirs, black sheep, disident, subversive women, who far from being ashamed of being lesbians, we live our lives with dignity "as another way of being human and free. Another way of being".*
